KØBENHAVN: Bilfri by-cykelturen
LET’S KEEP MOVING!
Join us on Friday, November 25 for another collective and festive bike ride through the streets of Copenhagen. Once again, we are cycling for a car-free city!
Grab your fancy muscle-powered vehicle – bike, skates, skateboard, unicycle, tricycle, whatever… – and come to reclaim the streets together. With music, great people, and a lot of fun we’ll demonstrate how a less car-centred city could look like!
We’ll meet at 16:00 in Hans Tavsens Park in Nørrebro, right by the Artemis Water Fountain After the ride, we’ll share some drinks together in a nice bar
Don’t forget warm clothes for you and lights for your bike – it’s getting cold and dark, but that won’t stop us! Bring your friends, family, roomies, fellow students, colleagues, etc. The more, the better!
If you want, come a bit earlier to decorate your bike with one of our beautiful flags. You’re also welcome to bring your own banners/decorations/colourful lights/…
Bilfri By is a Critical Mass-style ride in Copenhagen, and we want to show how one of the world’s bicycle cities could raise the bar even more for cyclability, liveability, and safety. Bring your ideas for what a car-free city could look like – we are always happy to hear different perspectives!
Car traffic induces many different problems: air pollution, CO2 emissions, excessive noise, accident victims, and destruction of nature for the construction of new roads. We dream of a city where we take climate issues and air pollution into consideration, where we reduce the number of accidents in traffic, and where there is space for nature, sports, and play.
