AARHUS: Stjålne revolutioner: En iransk historie om kampen for demokrati og retten til selvbestemmelse
Oplæg på engelsk af Faezeh Darki, ph.d.-studerende i Danmark.
I am not a historian or a political scientist. I am a biomedical researcher and an Iranian studying abroad.
This talk is a personal attempt to share what I know about Iran’s contemporary democracy movements, shaped by lived experience, study, and long conversations with Iranians with different perspectives.
Because dominant narratives about Iran are often simplified or deeply biased, I aim to walk through key moments, from foreign interventions and revolutions to sanctions, war, and recent protest movements, through the lens of an Iranian who has lived with their consequences.
My goal is not to offer definitive answers, but to reflect, contextualize, and spread awareness, as honestly and responsibly as I can.
