Folketinget har for nylig aftalt at øge indsatsen mod antisemitisme, hvor begrebet “den nye antisemitisme” blander kritik af Israel med had mod jøder. Hvad får det af betydning for vores demokratiske rettigheder?
Vi har inviteret tre eksperter på området: Jamie Stern-Weiner (UK), Poya Pakzad (DK) og Wieland Hoban (D), som vil fortælle om de internationale og nationale konsekvenser af disse definitioner.

Om panelisterne:
Jamie Stern-Weiner, ph.d. fra Oxford Universitet i Mellemøststudier. Hans doktorafhandling stillede kritisk spørgsmålstegn ved begrebet “den nye antisemitisme”. Hans seneste bog er Deluge: Gaza and Israel from Crisis to Cataclysm (OR Books, 2024).
Poya Pakzad, forhenværende radiovært og politisk rådgiver til Enhedslisten. Er p.t. chefkonsulent i forsyningssektoren. Han har en langvarig interesse i Palæstina og har arbejdet i Hebron og Gaza på vegne af ActionAid International.
Wieland Hoban, komponist, oversætter inden for filosofi, kunst, musik og litteratur. Han er formand for den tyske organisation “Jüdische Stimme für gerechten Frieden in Nahost” (Jødisk Stemme for Retfærdig Fred i Mellemøsten), som han også repræsenterer ved paraplyorganisationen Global Jews for Palestine.
Layal Freije, radiovært på GazaFM på radio4, fast skribent om Mellemøsten for Dagbladet Information. Har som journalist dækket den arabiske verden i seneste syv år.
