AARHUS: Forpremiere på omstridt og populær Palæstina-film: No Other Land – med dansk tekst
Den årlige Palæstina Film Festival i Øst for Paradis i Aarhus har fået en tvilling: PAL:DOK – Palæstina Dokumentar Film Festival – med nye og meget aktuelle film fra og om Palæstina, hvor mennesket og det daglige drama er i fokus. Flere af filmene er prisbelønnede ved internationale filmfestivaler.
Hele ni steder i Aarhus vil der i løbet af 14 dage blive vist dokumentarfilm fra og om Palæstina med deltagelse af internationale gæster.
Festivalen åbner fredag den 27. september i Øst for Paradis med forpremiere på den omstridte og populære dokumentar No Other Land – med danske undertekster. (Klip fra filmen herunder).
Filmen fortæller om nedrivning af palæstinenseres huse og om venskabet mellem en israeler og en palæstinenser, og den satte for alvor sindene i kog, da den vandt dokumentarprisen ved årets Berlinale. Den vil senere på efteråret blive distribueret i Danmark af CPH:DOX.
Ved hver filmvisning bliver der holdt oplæg af en person med stort kendskab til Palæstina. I forbindelse med denne visning taler Lars Erslev Andersen.
